捉梦器 —— 关于梦的田野调查

疫情期间，做梦是一件正经事儿。2020年4月28日，空间站即将举办李洋个展“捉梦器——关于梦的田野调查”。多年以来，李洋以科学研究的方式如实的记录自己的每一个梦，完成了“少年梦”系列，以及他人的梦“做梦绘画增长”系列，他如同一个梦的捕手一样，事无巨细的描绘每一个梦里出现的意象，并把它们归档，分类，总结和梳理。我们可以把梦作为人的另一种感知的类型，潜意识不是通过文字语言系统在与你沟通，而是透过图像、感觉和情感，还原一个更加真实的此在世界的体验。它透过梦的碎片的画面、荒诞的情节、离奇的故事，去拨开文字迷宫的面纱，直指内心的本相，什么是真的？什么又是假的？如何去解读梦所提供的意象？李洋是如何运用他的iPad和画笔去打捞这些一闪而过的人脑机制产生出的灵光？仿生人会梦见电子羊吗？如果做梦是人脑特殊的储存和处理记忆属性的话，那么它们都是一种怎样的存在？希望这个展览能够透过梦的一些共通的现象，带领大家走进潜意识世界的大门。

Dream Catcher：A Fieldwork about Dream

Dreaming is a serious matter during the epidemic of coronavirus. On April 28, 2020, the Space Station will stage an exhibition of Li Yang’s paintings, Dream Catcher: A Field Study in Dream. For many years, Li has faithfully recorded all his dreams in the form of scientific investigation; completed Juvenile Dream series, as well as Dreaming Catchment series inspired by other people’s dreams. He, as a dream catcher, depicts images that appear in every dream in a large and detailed way, and archives, classifies, summarizes and organizes them. We can think of dreaming as a form of human perception in the sense that subconsciousness is not communicating with you through an articulate language system, but restoring a more real experience of the world of beings through images, feelings, and emotions. Deploying fragments of dream, absurd plots, and strange narratives, subconsciousness uncovers the veil of the labyrinth of words and points directly to the inner. What is true? And what is false? How to interpret those images provided by dreams? How does Li use his iPad and paintbrush to salvage the fleeting lights generated by brain mechanisms? Do androids dream of electric sheep? If dreaming is a function of storing and processing memories, what kind of existence are dreams? It is hopeful that this exhibition would lead you into the subconscious world through certain common phenomena of dreaming.
