空间站创建于2009年。“空间站”又称“太空实验室”旨在成为一个信息和媒体接收、处理和扩散的平台，试图探索更多的当代艺术可能性，在更大的范围里推进当代艺术的实践和话语的进程。它是一个具有独立判断，实验性，专业性和知识生产力的当代艺术机构，支持进行文献出版、项目执行、展览策划等多种方式上的探索。

Space Station was founded in 2009. Also known as a “space laboratory”, Space Station aims to serve as a platform for receiving, processing and spreading information, exploring even greater possibilities and advancing the practice and discourse of contemporary art within in a wider scope.

Space Station is a contemporary art institution, fostering independent opinion, experimentation, and professional and intellectual productivity through publishing literature, project execution, planning exhibitions, etc.
