Flesh and Metal. Light and Oil. (2020) reflects on shamanisms in Inner Mongolia and Manchuria in relation to the ecological disaster on Earth, extractivism of global capitalism, electromagnetism and the artist’s own body.

Shamanic cosmologies urge for respectful treatment of the living, animistic and interdependent world that is mystical, complex and delicately resilient. Simultaneously, environmental pollution is an enormous problem in these regions. Through dialogues and collaboration with shamans the film explores more-than-human worlds and the interconnection and alliances between the old spiritual practices and contemporary thinking; old and new modes of knowing. It searches for a deeper relationship with the material and spiritual worlds and explores the boundaries of human rationalism, healing and care, environmental injustice and the slow violence of colonialism and the logic of (global) capitalism.

萨满主义的宇宙观敦促人们以尊重的态度对待这个活着的、万物有灵的、相互依存的世界，这个世界是那么神秘、复杂，又具有巧妙韧性。同时，环境污染也是这些地区面临的巨大问题。影片通过与萨满们的对话和合作，探索不止于人类的复数世界，以及古老的精神实践与当代思维、新旧认知模式之间的相互联结和联盟。影片寻找物质世界和精神世界之间更深层次的关系，探索人类理性主义、治疗和关怀、环境不正义以及（全球）资本主义逻辑的缓慢暴力的界限。

 

The program continues as a cosmic journey with musician and composer Han Xiaohan. He will perform ritualistic music and share his contributions to the heritage of traditional and shamanic music from Manchuria.

Koskentola has exhibited widely in diverse venues internationally. Recent projects include

publication Enfleshed- Ecologies of Entities and Beings, by Onomatopee 2023.

柯里思·瀑布（Kristiina Koskentola）是芬兰出生的视觉艺术家、博士，祖籍卡累利阿，现居阿姆斯特丹。她多年来一直致力于研究欧亚大陆北部的萨满主义。她还对中国有长期的关切，并曾在北京开设工作室长达十多年。

​

她最近的作品经常通过 "边缘"、物质和精神生态、社会和生态政治的交叉，探索知识生产过程、多声部主体性和多种（人类及以外的）共行动者的能动性。她的跨学科实践跨越多种媒体，包括视频、装置、互动表演（烹饪）项目、出版物和讲座。

 

她曾在国际上不同的场所广泛展出。近期项目包括拟声出版社（Onomatopee）在 2023 出版的书《具肉身的—实体与存在的复数生态》。

Han Xiaohan is a composer who has engaged with all kinds of music  since 1993. After 2003, he returned to his roots, the music of the Tungusic Manchu. For more than two decades, Han has been commited to studying traditional Manchu music and recreation based on Manchu original structure. His current works are based on the ancient myths and legends of the Manchu people in the White Mountains and Black Waters, including the Ulabun Epic. His music is based on the logic of ethnomusicology, applying modern Western compositional methods, and he often combines poetry with songwriting.

Han Xiaohan's compositions have been applied in more than ten movie and television works, and published in multiple of recordings His work is widely recognized in Europe and the United States. As well as the mainland China, he has held many concerts in Austria, Spain, the Netherlands, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand and Taiwan.

職業作曲家；自1993 年至今一直從事各類音樂工作及各種類型的舞台表演，2003 年後回歸自己民族——通古斯滿族的音樂蒐集、整理和再創作；有大量影視配樂作品及歌曲集；當下作品都取材於白山黑水的滿族古神話傳說(包括烏勒本史詩),音樂本體創作上立足民族音樂學的邏輯,應用西洋現代作曲方法,流暢中充滿神秘、蒼涼、飄渺的東方情境,樂界叫他「音樂薩滿」;又因為常常結合詩歌形式寫作歌曲的緣故而被稱為音樂詩人; 韓蕭寒的曲作被應用在超過十部以上的影視作品中，出版過十套唱片,在奧地利維也納、西班牙馬德里、荷蘭、波黑、新加坡、印尼、泰國和台灣等國家及地區曾多次成功舉辦音樂會。
